director portrait
Baillie Walsh combines dramatic precision and technical craftsmanship across commercials, music videos, documentaries, and feature films.

Baillie’s works include the infamous London Fashion Week hologram installation of Kate Moss for Alexander McQueen, Massive Attack’s seminal ‘Unfinished Sympathy’ music video, and the ground-breaking crowd-sourced fan documentary ‘Springsteen & I’. Assembled from over 300 hours of footage submitted by roughly 2,000 contributors, ‘Springsteen & I’ screened simultaneously on 2,000 screens in over 50 countries to widespread critical acclaim. Baillie made his move into feature-film in 2008 with ‘Flashbacks of a Fool’, starring Daniel Craig and Felicity Jones, which he wrote and directed.

In 2018, Baillie directed David Beckham in a charity campaign for Malaria No More. Launched ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, the film reached over 1.3 billion people.

Baillie’s ‘Being James Bond’ documentary, chronicling Daniel Craig’s time as 007, is set for release in 2021 alongside Craig’s final Bond outing, ‘No Time To Die’.

When Baillie isn’t on set you can find him in Iceland fishing.
